Monsters At Home — Sword Slice
Client approached us with a request to create a game similar to the old cinematic slasher game, Swordplay. We provided three different reskin concepts based on recent trends, but Client ultimately chose the “Poppy Play Time” concept.
We then developed three different “Poppy Play Time” concepts and consulted with our IP lawyers to ensure that all concepts would pass legal requirements for stores. Client ultimately chose the Cyber variant.
We cloned all of the game mechanics, including the cinematic movement and slash-anywhere systems. We also suggested adding large-scale boss fights to enhance the cinematic feel of the game.
After three months of development, the game was released and we moved on to live ops. Since then, we have added additional types of enemies and levels, as well as developed a unique “Free the City” meta gameplay.
Publisher approached us with a request to shift their focus from hyper-casual games to hybrid casual games, specifically in the puzzle and battler genres. After conducting extensive research in both fields, we found that the puzzle market was more diverse compared to the battler market, which was dominated by two games and their clones.
Based on our findings, we proposed narrowing the focus
to the puzzle market. Publisher agreed and asked
us to develop four different puzzle games. We then
concepted 10 different gameplay variants and presented them to the publisher. Out of these, they chose four concepts: Match all Words, Match all Colors, NumberxNumber, and Wordelete.
Each game took a month and a half to develop. One of the challenges we faced was generating 100+ levels of puzzles in a week. To overcome this, we developed our own puzzle level generator that could take numbers, colors, and even words to generate levels in minutes. Match all words, Match all colors, NumberxNumber, Wordelete
Cable Car Park Fun for Kids
Client approached us with a request to revive an old arcade game
and make it suitable for kids. We accepted the challenge and concepted a unique amusement park-style design for the game.
We carefully reconstructed the original gameplay and made it more accessible on mobile devices.
As part of the new style, we recreated all of the traps and challenges
in the game to make them more appealing to kids. The game development process took one month and a half.
We then spent an additional two weeks on delivery management of the game, ASO optimization, and shooting add creatives.
Investor had a tender for developing a massive RPG battler.
To participate in the tender, we created a quick prototype that showcased the core gameplay of battles, concept art in retro high fantasy style, and a concept narrative design.
Our studio was selected by the investor from among five others.
We divided our work into three main stages. The full pre-production stage, which took
us four months, involved developing all game mechanics, characters, and monetization systems on paper. During the production stage, which lasted 24 months, we developed everything from the initial paper concepts to the final game, including all levels, balancing abilities, progression systems, servers, and more. Finally, during the live ops stage, we worked with the community, fixed bugs, hosted timed events, and added new factions with more narrative design.
It took us three years to develop this game, from the initial prototype to the live ops stage.
When working with us, you can always count on:
